I will write some running stuff this week. But after my super short post about the Countdown+ App, I realized I have a bunch of other Apps to share. Although as someone who just joined Foursquare, I am definitely not an expert in the App department.
Here is what I am using right now:
1. Flipboard: Your Social News Magazine: I know I talked about how much I loved the News360 App before (and I still use it every morning), but I am really loving Flipboard for finding interesting, “off-the-beaten-path” News stories. The App is a little more difficult to navigate than News360, but still a great App for people who like to constantly be updated with News. Flipboard gets updates from twitter, blogs, News websites, tumblr, etc. It’s awesome! And currently my favorite App. Here is a User Guide for Flipboard.
2. P Tracker. I should seriously work for this App company. It is probably the best App I have ever purchased. Simply, ladies, it tracks your Periods. However, you can also track any cramps, headaches, breakouts, food cravings in regards to your Period. I have been using the App for two years, so I have built up enough of a background that the App can let me know approximately when I will get my period each month for the next 12 months. It is also great for when you go to the doctors office and they ask you “How many days is your cycle?” and your reponse can be, “On average? Or last month? Or the month before that? Or in December 2011?” BOOM.
3. Flight Track. This App is $4.99 but worth every penny, even if you only fly once a year. You can track your flights or your friends flights – the App will let you know even if the flight was delayed by 5 minutes. It is very accurate. But the best feature is if your flight, it gives you alternative flights you should try to get on. So when you have to call the Airlines to change your flight (or go up to the desk at the airport), you can literally tell them exactly what flights you want to get on, before they tell you! BOOM. It has saved me so much time and energy fighting with Airlines.
Oh, and don’t buy the Tamagotchi App. It’s terrible. You can buy a real Tamagotchi here for $54.78. WTF??

OMG they still sell Tamogotchi’s?!! If it was way less than $54 I would buy it. I was so sad when I lost the three I had when I was younger, it was as if a real pet died. Thats what happens when your mom never lets you have a real dog.
LOL! I use i-period, which is similar to P tracker and love it also.
FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS!?!?!?! Weren’t they like under $10 in 1997 or whenever it was that I had them? Talk about inflation!
I think you should do bi-weekly Apps your loving right now posts, it’s so nice to read and get apps that are age appropriate, otherwise my reference for what apps to get is my high-schoolers at work, thus why I downloaded snapchat (fail) and the logo quiz game (actually a fun game). – grown up apps are way cooler.
I’ve been curious about Flight Tracker and your review is just what I need to purchase it! I have the Southwest App (because I mainly fly SW), but it sucks. Like, really sucks. One of my favorite apps is the Kindle app. It’s so great not having to lug my kindle around with me, plus, if I ever have to wait in line, I can just read my book and not get so irritated!
That P Tracker is hilarious but probably VERY useful! I’ve been meaning to keep track so I don’t get any disappointing surprises.
ha! i’ve been on birth control so long i don’t even think about trackers (TMI?). oops! checking out flipboard. already loving the countdown app!
LOVE p.tracker!! It’s one of my favorite apps!
